Privacy Policy

Your conversations with Boo are personal, and we treat them that way. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

• Account: a Sign in with Apple identifier, and a first name you tell Boo.
• Conversations: the messages you send to Boo and Boo’s replies.
• Understanding: notes Boo forms to help mediate (e.g. what each person seems to need, recurring patterns).
• Technical: a notification token and basic diagnostics needed to run the service.

How Boo handles two people

Each person talks only with Boo, in their own private conversation. Boo can see both sides in order to mediate, but your partner never sees your raw messages — Boo only carries across a calm, reframed version of what matters. Boo will not reveal your private disclosures or secrets to your partner.

How we use your data

• To run the mediation: understand both sides and help you communicate.
• To send notifications when Boo replies.
• To maintain, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not use your conversations for advertising.

AI processing

To generate Boo’s responses, conversation context is sent to our AI provider, Anthropic, through our secure backend. Anthropic processes it to produce a reply and does not use it to train its models. See Anthropic’s privacy practices for details.

Where data is stored

Data is stored using Google Firebase (Google Cloud). Access is restricted by security rules so that only you can read your own conversation.

Retention & deletion

We keep your data while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time in the app (menu → Delete profile). Deletion removes your profile and your conversation with Boo. Ending a pairing disconnects you from your partner.

Your choices

• Turn notifications on or off in your device settings.
• Tell Boo only what you’re comfortable sharing.
• Delete your account at any time.

Children

Between Us AI is intended for people 17 and older and is not directed at children.

We may update this policy. We’ll update the date above when we do.
